Potty time???

I have mentioned a couple of times that Ayden has shown quite a bit of interest in the potty. He has stripped down to nothing several times. He takes me into the bathroom and wants to go. Now, when I change him, he tries to pee. Today I had to run to Target to pick up diapers for both the babies and I decided, why not. A potty chair is about the same price as a pack of diapers. Yes, I still got the diapers for Ayden but I bought a cute potty chair that looks like a frog. I also bought some training pants. I was worried that he would pee in the pull-ups. I'm not holding my breath for success just yet, I've trained two boys, I remember how this goes. At least he is interested though.

Hanging out

We are trying to turn off the TV and other media interference and spend more time together. Last Friday Bobby decided that meant put in Kung Fu Panda, again. I know that is technically the TV but we all sat and watched it together. Well, we tried. Take a look at Seth and Brooklyn. I guess it was a long week. And this from the kids that tell me they are never tired.
We have had some pretty cold weather. The entire family was crossing fingers and toes for a snow day. Especially me. This is all we got though. I wish Bobby had gotten the back because there were big icicles hanging from the car and porch railings.
The kids and I played a game tonight after I put Ayden to bed. We had a surprise when Dillon rolled over. I did get the second roll on video but it was too big to upload. It took so long for him to roll over that, I guess, the video was too long. He rolled from belly to back. This is the earliest any of my little ones have rolled. He is so strong though! People are surprised when they find out how old he really is because he is so alert and holds his head and body so well. The startle reflex is the give away though!

A Goo

Dillon is talking up a storm. He is very social and likes to talk to us and smile at us. Mornings are the best time for him but the other night he was feeling particularly talkative. I guess he had something he just had to say. Please ignore my finger picking at his nose. It was flaky and I wanted him to look his best for his video premiere.

Two Months

Dillon is two months today! He is so big, he is already wearing his 3-6 months clothes and they just fit. I guess that makes sense since he eats all the time. To celebrate his two month birthday we had some friends come over and make the gingerbread house that we should have made a month ago. Well, it wasn't really for him but it sounded good. Ha ha. He slept from 10:30pm until 5:00am today and I think that's pretty great. I'll celebrate that small accomplishment. He has not been quite as demanding and spends a lot of time cooing and smiling at us. Caleb asked yesterday when he would laugh. I said, as soon as he can get it out because he really does try to laugh sometimes. Maybe once he gets through the difficult newborn stage he'll be a happy baby. I hope so. Anyway, here is the picture of him one month ago. And here is the picture of him today at two months.

Exhausted

Well, going back to school is really wearing me down. I am so tired I can not even say I am functional. Words escape me when I'm talking and I find myself blinking overlong when driving home. That is the scary part. I don't know what can be done about it. As it is, Bobby tells me to go to bed on nights that Dillon decides to play at 11:00pm. The past three mornings Dillon has not woken up for his 3am feeding. He woke up at 5am this morning and 7am yesterday. I do not know if it's just a two day thing but five would be perfect for his schedule. Then I could feed him before going to school. I guess we'll see.

Bobby is enjoying his time home with the boys. He is getting a lot done considering how much time Dillon requires. I enjoy that I don't have to get Ayden and Dillon ready to go to a sitter's house. I don't know when I'll find time to get things done. I am behind on grading and when I bring it home I never even open the bag and get it started.

Bobby and I rented Dark Knight last night and I fell asleep at the end. I tried so hard to stay awake, it just wasn't working. I'm not the only one suffering. I am so cranky that my kids are suffering a bit too. I apologize to them but it doesn't change that my tolerance is rather low lately and they like to run, shout and play. Well, that's the honest side of things. I think we will settle into a better schedule soon and then my mood will improve. Until then I am enjoying taking everything slow and easy and holding and cuddling Dillon before he's big like Ayden - running, screaming and too big to sit on mommy's lap anymore.

What's a Zoobie, you may ask

They are these totally adorable stuffed animals that turn into a pillow or a blanket. They look so soft and there are so many cute choices. If you go to I Never Grew Up and leave a comment you can register to win one!! I really like the giraffe and the turtle. So stinkin' cute!
