Caleb's Baptism

Caleb's baptism was last night. I am so proud of him. He was so quiet and thoughtful. Bobby was so proud to baptize. He also was able to confirm him a member of the church. Unfortunately my dad was unable to be there, but Caleb's Grammy gave a nice talk on baptism. She is so good with kids. Caleb really enjoyed that and she let Seth help her give her talk so he had a part too. He was baptized along with two other children from the ward so there were a lot of people there. So many in fact that we had to meet in the chapel. I am so excited to see Caleb move on to another stage in his life. He is growing so fast and is such a pleasant bright child. Bobby's blessing was beautiful and I hope Caleb remembers it like I will.

Ayden's First Shiner

Well, there it is, Ayden got his first black eye. I was not in the room but the story goes that Caleb and Seth were wrestling on the floor and Ayden tripped on Caleb's foot. Then somehow that led to heads colliding. Either way it turned into a bit of a shiner. Daddy was proud and called it the first of many. I guess if he plays baseball like Daddy wants him to then it probably won't be the last. I wouldn't say he 'took it like a man' but he recovered quickly and was back to playing with his brothers in a matter of minutes, no worse for the wear.

Christmas at Liz's Home

Liz invited us to spend Christmas with her and her family in Arlington. We were so excited; it would be our first, official road trip as a family! Bobby played with his work schedule a bit and we were able to drive up there on Christmas Eve and stay until the day after Christmas. Liz was a very gracious hostess. She had snacks and drinks ready to go for us. She made a huge breakfast the next morning and dinner that night. We had sub sandwiches in between - an Orr family tradition, according to Bobby. John has four Lhasa Apses and Liz has her huge mutt Foster. John's children brought their two dogs over too. Brooklyn loved playing with the dogs and the boys loved playing with John's son, Jesse. He was so sweet, he played so well with them. We really enjoyed ourselves on our mini vacation.
Brooklyn loved cuddling with the dogs.
Liz with the babies. We spent so much time just relaxing and visiting.
John with his sweet baby.
Bobby wrapped up like a taco. He was coming down with a bad cold so he lounged as much as possible.

I just realized I have no pictures of the boys! They spent the entire time with Jesse, we really barely saw them except when they got hungry. Ayden though had a blast. He played with the dogs, I wish I could've gotten some pictures. He thought they were great until Foster kept running into him!
Ayden really did do so well. I was worried that he would be fussy being away from home for so long. He played happily, napped well and even let Liz lay down with him at night. As always... he loves the cell phone!

Christmas at Uncle Bobby's House

Uncle Bobby hosted Christmas for the family at his house this year. It was as beautiful as usual! I took so many pictures I won't bore everyone with all of them. This year everyone was there except my Bobby, he had to work. I really missed him but Andy, Tammy and Austin were able to visit this year and they haven't been able to join us for Christmas for a long time so it was wonderful.
Brooklyn picked out a Christmas outfit and fixed her hair all by herself. She looked lovely.
Ayden was so sleepy by the time we got to Uncle Bobby's - it was his nap time. He rested with Papa while Mommy unloaded the van. That shiny blue is his blanket. He just loves it! Thanks Aunt Holly for his Linus blanket!
Ayden was playing with everyone, I am so glad he seems to be getting over the stranger issues. It was fun having Aunt Tammy there - she is always so great with the kids!

Ayden got so excited when I picked up a piece of chocolate to share with him. He loves chocolate, like any other kid! I bought his Christmas overalls, Bobby loves penguins so I thought this was perfect! He looked so dang cute it them!
Caleb got something great to shoot at his brother! Just kidding, Seth got one too. Perfect for two boys.
Grana (GG) and Papa (PapaG) were getting ready to open their gifts. Uncle Bobby wraps the gifts so beautifully. Unfortunately Grana fell going down the last couple of stairs as she was leaving and she is now in the hospital. We are all worried and praying for a quick recovery. She broke her wrist and her hip but came through surgery well so now she needs to work on getting better.
Seth managed to steer clear of pictures at Bobby's house somehow! We got this one of him with his favorite person - Grandma Sheryl and there is Uncle Andy! Holly and Brian avoided the camera this year too, hmmm... How did they manage that?
The tree was spectacular! We all loved to see the changes that Uncle Bobby and Bob made to their home. They worked so hard to make us all feel welcome and they did a wonderful job. The food was delicious and everyone had a good time.

Christmas round one!

Santa came early this year! I had to call the Santa hotline but it was a must since we would be out of town for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. There just wouldn't be enough room in the car to fit all Santa's stuff along with our bags! The kids had so much fun unwrapping everything and Santa was good to us this year. He brought Brooklyn a digital camera, Caleb a junior size NFL football and UT shirt and cap and Seth got a scooter and spiderman dart set. Bobby likes for Santa to wrap everything so there was paper and smiles all around. It was nice to just open them together as a family and let the kids ooo and ahhh. They also opened their gifts from Grandma and Poppy Orr. They were so excited to see everything. They figured Christmas was over as far as presents went but nope... it was on to Uncle Bobby's house for gathering with my side of the family.
Ayden looked so cute grinning in his Astros hat! Bobby was so proud.

Brooklyn got a pink watch from Poppy and Grandma Orr - she just loves pink and jewelry so it's a perfect match!

Caleb is all about football right now and I guess Santa knew that. Pop's was too big so now he has one that is perfect for his hands! It even came with a pump and stand.
Seth loves to dress up so this year he got Michaelangelo so he could dress up with Caleb who got Raphael. (Doesn't Bobby just look thrilled?)

Transformer invasion!

Caleb had a sleep over party. Actually it is still going on! He was so excited. The theme was Transformers and I found some masks. I thought they'd be cool but they were a pain to put together and didn't stay on their faces. They sure looked cool though! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and tried to eat cake but after four pieces of pizza it was difficult. Seth was a bit jealous because these weren't his friends but he got over it when the pizza got here. We got Caleb a scooter with red handlebars and wheels. He seemed pleased. This is such a busy time of year for a birthday but it was fun!
