When they sing about it they don't tell you...

the ugly part. When I hear "Let it Snow" or "Frosty the Snowman", snow sounds fun. When I look at pictures of snowy landscapes and falling snow it is beautiful. But the reality is, it's a pain in the rear to drive in and this is what you have two weeks later:

Doesn't that look fun? Isn't it just gorgeous? Oh and it's ice folks. Not fluffy. There is no way to pick it up and make a dirty snow ball out of it. Just big, dirty chunks of ice. Yeah, love the scenery.

I had big laugh at this one! I remember living in UT and seeing it for the first time. It was great until the next day. Oh, and that dirty snow stains the hem of your pants and is a pain (if not impossible) to get out.

BUT, you have a beautiful white Christmas. As far as I know, there isn't a song about Christmas morning wearing t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops. :)

Love it! I try to explain these things to Edward, but he still insists he wants to live where there are blizzards. Been in one, survived, don't want to do it again. I have many memories of playing in the 8 foot black snow mounds at the end of my road.

Gross! My kids play in one down the street, they call it a snow hill? Something like that. It's just filthy!
